Salisbury Cathedral

Just 8 miles from Stonehenge is Salisbury Anglican Cathedral. (The British never say "bury".  They say "bree". Hence, "Salisbree" Cathedral.) It was started in 1220, and is English Gothic Architecture.  Later the spire was added to make it the tallest Spire in all of Great Britain. It also houses the world's oldest working clock, and the Magna Carta.

British school dress- Love it!
Cloister with the Magna Carta on Display

One of 3 ladders like this that took us 332 steps to the top of the Tower
Our first stop in the ceiling above the Cathedral

First view from the tower

Flooded fields

No admittance-Ladders to the top of the spire blocked! Good, because it would take an acrobat and a midget to climb it.
