Lacock Historic Village

We took a day trip north to the historic Village of Lacock in Wiltshire. Thanks to the Talbot family who refused to let the railroad come through the town, the village has been preserved. It was then given to the National Trust, who protects it. Most of the houses are 16th century. The population is only 350.

Many movies are filmed in Lacock. This house was used for Harry Potter's home. Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Robin Hood and Cranford are a few others.

Russell found this very quaint bakery

Chamber of Secrets

George Inn, where we had lunch. Loved the town!
