In the summer all the local Parishes in Southampton sponsor a village Carnival. Our West End parish events were held very close to our house in nearby Hatch Grange. Our morning walks often take us through it's beautiful woodlands and hills. Love it!
The day began with a parade, the crowning of a Princess, and then the Carnival.

We talked to our neighbor and a few others, bought some organic vegetables and walked home as the band played on.... and on, and on.
