Cornwall

The first weekend in September Debbie and Clint joined us for a few day of travel to Cornwall.  Our first stop after leaving London was for Debbie; she has been in London 4 times and has always wanted to see Stonehenge.  All of the Browns were here at the end of May, but we were pressed for time and just drove by and took a picture from the car.  This time we stopped and toured.
It happened that Obama had the same idea as he was in England attending a NATO summit meeting. When the meeting finished he was asked if he would like to see anything special before he returned to the USA,  and he said "I've always wanted to see Stonehenge."  Both their wishes came true on Sept. 5th.

We then drove to a cute little village near Bodmin, Cornwall and stayed in some charming cottages that Debbie reserved at Tregawne Farm.
Lovely place!

The next day we drove to Britian's most southern point in Cornwall; Kynance Cove at Lizard Point.
It's spectacular!

St. Michel was closed on Saturday and this is as close as we could get.

The tip of Cornwall -  3,800 miles to America.

We attended the Plymouth Ward on Sunday and then visited the charming village of Cockington in Devon.

We also saw our first Cricket match.

Love Cornwall!!
