It happened that Obama had the same idea as he was in England attending a NATO summit meeting. When the meeting finished he was asked if he would like to see anything special before he returned to the USA, and he said "I've always wanted to see Stonehenge." Both their wishes came true on Sept. 5th.
We then drove to a cute little village near Bodmin, Cornwall and stayed in some charming cottages that Debbie reserved at Tregawne Farm.
Lovely place!
The next day we drove to Britian's most southern point in Cornwall; Kynance Cove at Lizard Point.
It's spectacular!
St. Michel was closed on Saturday and this is as close as we could get. |
The tip of Cornwall - 3,800 miles to America.
We also saw our first Cricket match. |
Love Cornwall!!
I'm SO jealous! I will go to Cornwall someday! :)
