Wedding first - then Baptism

We attended the lovely wedding of Matt and Sally held in the Hamble River Ward on September 27th.  We sang two beautiful well known British hymns..."Jerusalem" and "Morning has Broken", which is an old Welsh tune with words added in the 1800's by Eleanor Farjeon. When we got home we listened to it on Itunes. I'm in love with it and might have to buy it.

"Morning has broken, like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird;
Praise for the singing, Praise for the morning,
Praise for them springing fresh from the Word.

Sweet the rain's new fall, Sunlit from heaven,
like the first dewfall on the first grass,
Praise for the sweetness, of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass.

Mine is the sunlight, Mine is the morning,
Born of the one light Eden saw play;
Praise with elation, Praise every morning,
God's re-creation Of the new day."

  YSA Sarah and her twin sisters - happy about their new family.

 This morning we took the young Elders, and helped Sarah, who is a floral designer, decorate for the dinner and reception which we attended that evening. The location was the charming "Kings Court Masonic Center", which previously was an old English Manor House. We had a delicious dinner and an entertaining evening as Matt and his best man are witty guys.

In a few weeks there will be another important event for the family when Matt is baptized.
